Details at Neocon 2008
Details has a new look and feel in its new home. Now located on the third floor alongside Steelcase, Nurture & Turnstone, Details’ showroom showcased all new product. From the front window, you can see our theme for this year’s show.
A new concept Walkstation was displayed in the front of the showroom. The idea is to give a glimpse into the possible future of the Walkstation. In the six months since the Walkstation was introduced, we’ve listened and learned; this unit reflects new possibilities based on our research. Some of the possibilites include enhanced collaboration, privacy and a cleaner aesthetic.
The Series 7 table electric height-adjustable workstation is part of our fastest growing product category. This workstation shows the new SOTO worktools: a family of boxes, shelves and a freestanding and channel mounted LED light. It also includes a family of soft pads.
In the middle of showroom, we introduced our Series 3 benching concept. An alternative to the traditional cubicle, a Benching Desk emphasizes ergonomics, collaboration and technology management. It helps control high real estate costs and improves work process flow. It creates a team environment and can accommodate a user who uses 1-2 flat panel monitors, a cpu or laptop, a phone and other office worktools.
In the back the of the showroom, we displayed two Walkstations. These are typical of units actually in use today in companies across North America.
On the wall in the back of the showroom, we displayed Walkstation cartoons by noted brandtoonist Gary Kopervas. They capture the flavor and fun of the Walkstation. They emphasized the overall statement about the Details approach to making work a moving experience.
